About Med Options, No Worries
MONW is an informational platform designed to help patients and caregivers research medications, compare options, and understand side effects and interactions. Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from service providers and partners that support our operations (e.g., analytics providers), and we may combine such information with data we collect.
Sensitive Information and Health-Related Inputs
We do not require you to provide sensitive personal information. If you choose to submit health-related inputs (for example, medication names you are researching), we handle such data solely to provide the requested functionality and improve the Services. We do not use health-related inputs to infer characteristics about you for advertising or profiling. Do not submit protected health information (PHI) or information that would identify your specific medical treatment or diagnosis.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze traffic and usage, and, where applicable, support content measurement or contextual advertising.
- Essential cookies are necessary to provide core functionality.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with the Services to improve performance and user experience.
- Preference cookies store your settings and choices.
- Advertising or measurement technologies may be used to understand content effectiveness; we do not sell personal information, and any cross-context behavioral advertising will be treated as "sharing" as defined under California law.

Analytics and Advertising Partners
We may allow analytics partners to collect or receive information to help us measure traffic and usage. If we engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, we will treat it as "sharing" under California law, and you may opt out as described in this Policy.
Legal, Safety, and Corporate Transactions
We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; to protect the rights, property, and safety of MONW, our users, or others; and in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, reorganization), where permitted by law.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you by emailing [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond as required by law.
State Privacy Rights in the United States
California Privacy Notice (CPRA)
California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. Below is our notice at collection and additional disclosures.
Categories of Personal Information Collected
- Identifiers (e.g., IP address, email address if provided).
- Internet or other electronic network activity (e.g., browsing history on our Services, interactions with pages or features).
- Approximate geolocation (derived from IP address).
- Inferences drawn from the above to improve Services (not for profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects).
- Sensitive personal information (only if you choose to submit health-related inputs; we do not use such inputs for advertising or to infer characteristics unrelated to your request).
We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, account log-in credentials, or financial account numbers.
Sources
We collect personal information directly from you, automatically from your device and browser, and from service providers (e.g., analytics).
Business or Commercial Purposes
We use personal information for the purposes described in the "How We Use Information" section above.
Disclosures for a Business Purpose
We disclose personal information to service providers and contractors for the limited purposes described above (e.g., hosting, analytics, security, support).
Selling or Sharing
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. If our use of analytics or advertising technologies constitutes "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may opt out as described in this Policy. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Retention
We retain personal information for no longer than is reasonably necessary for the purposes disclosed, including to meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which we delete or de-identify the information.
Your California Rights
- Right to know/access the personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share.
- Right to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit).
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
How to Exercise Your California Rights
Email [email protected] and specify your request (e.g., Access, Delete, Correct, Opt-Out of Sharing). We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity based on the nature of your request and the sensitivity of the information (e.g., verifying email control or requesting additional information). Authorized agents may submit requests by providing proof of authorization and, where required, proof of the consumer’s identity. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with "Appeal" in the subject line.
Shine the Light
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. California residents may nevertheless request information about such disclosures by contacting [email protected].
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah
Residents of these states may have rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling. To exercise, email [email protected]. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at [email protected] so we can take appropriate steps.
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Criteria used to determine retention periods include the type of data, the purpose for which it is processed, and legal or operational retention requirements. When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or de-identify the information.
International Visitors
The Services are operated in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Do Not Track and Preference Signals
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard, we do not respond to DNT signals. Where legally required, we endeavor to process recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) as an opt-out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may also opt out by emailing [email protected].
Third-Party Websites and Content
The Services may reference third-party content or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
HIPAA and Medical Disclaimer
MONW is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and generally is not subject to HIPAA. Do not upload or submit medical records or PHI. The information on the Services is provided for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical advice and before making any treatment decisions.
